Linda Fraser (Director)
As a parent myself, I recognise the importance of having high quality childcare. I pride myself on having nurseries which are committed to delivering excellence in small nursery environments.
I qualified in 1984 and have worked in all day childcare ever since. I began my self-employed career at the age of 19 and am now the longest established pre-school provider in the Kirkcaldy and Glenrothes area.
My philosophy of pre-school education stems from my very first nursery. I experienced the benefits of small groups for young children. I observed that delivery in small groups allowed the children to quickly become emotionally secure and happy in their new environment. I saw that their bonding with staff and peers encouraged all areas of their learning. I have committed myself to this form of delivery throughout my career and that is why I still have small nurseries today.
Kimberly Trail
My name is Kimberly and I am the Nursery Manager. I have a HNC in Childcare and Education which I gained in 1998 and in 2007 I completed my SVQ 4 in Childcare and Education. I am currently working towards my BA Childhood Practice. I started working for Sunshine Nursery in 2001. I enjoy working with the team to develop the nursery to ensure that children and parents recieve quality care. As the nursery is small I love the family environment and that I know each of the families individually.
Gillian Docherty
My name is Gillian and I am the Assistant Manager. I have a HNC in Childcare and Education which I gained in 1996 and I am currently working on my PDA in Childcare. I joined Sunshine Nursery in 1998 but in 2007 took a break from the company to gain new experiences. After a year away from the company I could not wait to return to the company due to its friendly and relaxed atmosphere. I enjoy working with children and where better to do it than a place where the sun always shines.
Jodie Stewart
My name is Jodie and I am a nursery nurse. I have a HNC in Childcare and Education which I completed in 2007. I joined the Sunshine Nursery in 2007 soon after completing my qualification. I enjoy working with the children and families at the nursery on a daily basis and being able to be part of thier development.
Julie Beal
My name is Julie and I am a nursery nurse. I have an SVQ3 in Childcare and Education which I gained in 2011. I started working for the Sunshine Nursery in 2008 as a student. Working with children is my passion and the nursery gives me the opportunity to do this. I really enjoy working with the friendly staff in a happy, fun and family environment.
Marette Cunningham
My name is Marette and I am a nursery nurse. I joined Sunshine Nursery in 2004 where I completed my SVQ2 and SVQ3 in Childcare and Education. I enjoy working with parents to help their child develop to the best of their abilities and each day brings new challenges. The nursery is a very welcoming and homely environment which I enjoy working in.
Laura Bain
My name is Laura and I am a nursery nurse.I joined Sunshine Nursery in 2009 where I completed my SVQ2 and SVQ3 in Childcare and Development. I enjoy working on a daily basis with the children and being involved in their development. It is a pleasure to see the children progress and I enjoy the challenge of the job.
Vanessa Galloway
My name is Vanessa and I am a nursery nurse. I have a PDA in Childcare which I obtained at Adam Smith College. I joined Sunshine Nursery in 2010 and work part time for the company.
